August 12, 2002: Regarding the recent concern regarding hormone replacement therapy, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist have released this statement dated August 9, 2002.
For those women who have had a hysterectomy and who are on estrogen alone, this remains a strongly recommended plan.
However, for those women who still have their uterus and who are on a combination of estrogen and progesterone, the policy is dramatically shifting.
